My mom started Swimco in our basement in 1975, and we’ve run the business with strong family values ever since. Today we are Western Canada’s leading swimwear retailer and our goal remains the same: to fit our customers with great suits, shorts, sandals and more so they can make the most of their vacations. Swimco's History

1970's

Calgary mom Corinne Forseth had a hard time finding the swimwear her children needed for their swimming team. Soon after, she started a mail-order swimwear business in the basement of the family home.

1980's

Customers were responding so well to this new service-oriented swimwear retailer that Corinne opened three more Calgary stores with the help of her children, Steve and Lori. In the late 80s, the focus turned more toward fashion swimwear. Moving West, Swimco was introduced in Vancouver.

1990's

Throughout the 1990’s Swimco continued to open new locations across B.C. and Alberta, adding Kelowna and Victoria into the mix.

Today

With over 150 employees, 14 stores, and plans for further expansion, Swimco is proud to be Western Canada’s leading swimwear retailer. Steve, Lori, and her husband Dave are at the helm, steering Corinne’s company with the same family values that started it all over 35 years ago.
